J. Keith Robson
Keith Robson graduated from the Aston University in Birmingham, England and joined the automotive industry in Marketing and Product Planning roles. He then spent 20 years with Massey Ferguson/Varity Corporation in various roles including Vice President, Corporate Controller and President of the worldwide parts warehousing and distribution division. Since 1990 he worked in strategic management including the turnaround of Canadian Pacific Trucks. In 2001 he took on the role of President of the Institute of Corporate Directors where he was instrumental in establishing an educational program for Corporate Directors. In 2002 he was appointed President and CEO at the Hamilton Port Authority that manages the port operations and recreational uses of the Hamilton Harbour. During this time he was actively involved in a number of industry associations promoting the future development of the marine industry. In 2006 the University of Aston in England recognized Keith’s career achievements in honouring him as a Fellow of the Aston Business School. During 2006/7 Keith initiated the establishment of a new research centre at McMaster University, the McMaster Institute of Transportation and Logistics.
At the end of 2007, Keith retired from the Port Authority and has established himself as a Business Consultant in the fields of Transportation and Logistics, International Marketing, and Corporate Governance. In October 2008 he was appointed to the Aston Business School Advisory Board and in August 2009 he was appointed as Chair of the Federal Bridge Corporation Limited, which is a Crown Corporation responsible for three International bridges in Ontario and three bridges in Montreal. Since August 2009 he has been a member of the Advisory Board of Unis Lumin, a Systems Integration company based in Oakville, ON and appointed its Chair in January 2010.
