4th TRANSLOG 2012 CONFERENCE Presented by MITL & SCL October 15th-16th, 2012

Join us in Burlington, Ontario, Canada for the 4th TRANSLOG (Transportation and Logistics) Conference.  The conference will be held at the Ron Joyce Centre, DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University, 4350 South Service Road, Burlington, Ontario from Monday October 15th to Tuesday October 16th, 2012.  Academic and Industry presentations will be featured throughout the two days.

TRANSLOG is rapidly evolving as a leading forum for the exchange of ideas relating to the latest theoretical and applied research in freight and goods movement.  Because the efficiency and sustainability of freight movements is very much intertwined with other transportation elements, TRANSLOG will also explore non-freight themes.

This unique two day event will bring together transportation and logistics leaders from academia, government and the private sector and will feature keynote presentations, interactive discussions, and targeted breakout sessions that will ensure a lively environment to exchange views.

As in the previous conferences, we will be sponsoring a Best Student Paper Award.  The winner is chosen from student academic paper submissions based on recommendations from the program review committee, and will be presented at the conference.   Best Paper prize is $1000.00; Runner-up paper prize is $500.00.  Winners will be required to attend and present at the conference.   For more information about the competition please Click here http://mitl.mcmaster.ca/translog/documents/Guidelines_for_Papers.pdf
